Roles & Responsibilities

• Research, report, write and edit news stories, features, and interviews for print, digital and social platforms
•  Cover current affairs, governance, politics, social issues, and breaking news with accuracy and balance
•  Conduct field reporting, press coverage and exclusive interviews
•  Coordinate with editors, camera teams and digital content teams
•  Verify facts, sources and information to maintain credibility and ethical standards
•  Meet tight deadlines in fast-paced newsroom environments
•  Write scripts, headlines, captions, and press releases as required
•  Monitor news trends, public discourse and media developments
•  Ensure compliance with editorial policies, media laws and journalistic ethics

Skills

Strong news judgment and storytelling skills Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities On-ground reporting and interview-handling expertise Ability to work independently and under pressure Familiarity with digital journalism tools and social media platforms Basic knowledge of video scripting and editing is an advantage High attention to detail and accuracy Integrity, objectivity, and ethical responsibility in reporting

Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in print, electronic, or digital media Experience in field reporting and newsroom coordination Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as per news requirements
